CDSR Seawater Uptake Hose

The Seawater Uptake Hoses are part of the Seawater Uptake Systems, which provide a means of obtaining low temperature as well as low oxygenated seawater to benefit the vessels process and utility systems, also known as the Cooling Water Intake System.

The CDSR Seawater Uptake Hoses are customized to match the Seawater Uptake Systems in individual applications and installations, and are available with 20”- 60” nominal diameter, and up to 11m hose length. The CDSR Seawater Uptake Hoses adopts a unique design, all metal parts of the hose are coated with high-strength high molecular rubber polymer resistant to the corrosion caused by weather and seawater. An additional protective bumper is set at both ends of the hose body to enable the firm holding and protection of the hose during the installation. In addition, to enable the hoses to withstand various external pressures and ocean current disturbances in the deep sea and to ensure a safe operation, the hoses are embedded with steel rings or helical steel wire, depending on their positions in the hose string.

The Seawater Uptake Systems (SUS) provide a means of obtaining low temperature as well as low oxygenated seawater to benefit the vessels process and utility systems. Also known as the Cooling Water Intake System it is always custom designed to fit the various vessel types.

Through Intake Riser Connections such as pipes and hoses, the required cooling water can be reached in depths from 30m up to 300m (Deep Water Riser).
