  • 2022 New Style Oil Hose Pipe - Catenary Oil Hose (Single Carcass / Double Carcass Catenary Hose) – CDSR

CDSR Catenary Oil Hose

The Catenary Oil Suction and Discharging Hoses are used for crude oil loading or discharging with high safety standards, such as FPSO, FSO tandem offloading to DP Shuttle Tankers (i.e. Reel, Chute, Cantilever hang-off arrangements).

The CDSR Catenary Oil Suction and Discharging Hoses fully comply with the requirements of OCIMF-Guide to Manufacturing and Purchasing Hoses for Offshore Moorings(GMPHOM 2009).

In some applications, a reel system is installed on the ship in order to enable a convenient and highly efficient hose storage and operation on the ship. With the reel system, the hoses can be rolled up and retracted around the reeling drum after the oil loading or discharging operation. The hose string can be wound one or more layers on the reeling drum. The catenary windable hoses are designed with a better flexibility and minimum bending radius, usually 4 times the nominal hose diameter.

The Catenary Oil Suction and Discharging Hoses can be floating or non-floating, and the hose type can be of Single Carcass Catenary Hose or Double Carcass Catenary Hose.

Regarding the CDSR Double Carcass Hoses, in addition to the standard hose carcass (commonly termed ‘primary carcass’), they incorporate an additional second carcass designed to contain any product escaping from the primary carcass as a result of a slow leak or sudden failure. According to the requirements of GMPHOM 2009,the primary Carcass is designed to ensure a burst pressure above five times the Rated Working Pressure of the hose, the secondary Carcass can withstand the bursting of the Primary Carcass and has a burst pressure above two times the Rated Working Pressure of the hose. An effective, robust and reliable, integrated leak detection and indication system is provided on all the CDSR Double Carcass Hoses, the leak detector attached or built into the Double Carcass Hoses will signal through colour indicator, light or other forms in case there is any leakage occurred on the primary carcass. Such leak detection and indication system will enable users to check the status of double carcass hoses in service so as to reduce the safety risks of the hose strings.
